School planner
Plan the route to your school’s test
Shortlist schools in order, see what each test is known to use, and get a study plan that works back from the test.
How it works
Tell it about your child
An optional first name and a birth month and year. The birth date works out the likely test year and entry year. Nothing leaves your device.
Search and shortlist
Search by school name, town or postcode, and filter by nation, type and whether a school is boys, girls or mixed. Add schools in order: some application forms ask you to rank them. The planner submits nothing.
Get your plan
Choose a start date, an optional test date, session length (30, 45 or 60 minutes), how long the plan should run (12, 18 or 24 months) and your study days. You get a summary, a day-by-day schedule grouped by month, key dates and suggested focus areas.
Take it with you
Download a calendar file, copy the plan as text, or download it as a text file. You can also clear everything.

Always check the school’s own page. Test dates, scores and rules change every year, and some dates in the planner are estimates projected from earlier years. Check the school or council page before you act.
- Coverage is uneven. It is strongest in England and Northern Ireland. Scotland is limited and Wales is not covered yet. Some independent schools are thinly covered.
- Most tests do not publish a topic list. Where a test does not, the planner uses the best match and says so. It is not a promise that our content covers every topic a test might use.
- It is software, not AI. The plan is worked out by fixed rules from the schools you choose.
- Saved in your browser only. Your choices stay on your device and nothing is sent to us.
