Privacy and safety
Safe for children, clear for parents
A plain summary of what we collect and what we do not. The full notices are linked at the bottom of this page.
At a glance
No adverts
There is no advertising in the app or on this site.
No trackers
No analytics and no third-party tracking tools.
No AI in the app
Hints, plans and reports come from fixed rules, not an AI model.
No free text from children
Children do not type messages, and the app does not use location.
What we store
- You: your email address. Your password and parent PIN are stored only as one-way scrambled values.
- Your child: a first name or nickname (up to six profiles). We do not collect surnames, dates of birth, schools, photos or location.
- Practice: results for each question, how long it took, whether a hint was used, and a rough device type. This is what the parent area is built from.
- Invite list: if you ask for an invite on this website, we keep your email, and your child's school year and how you heard about us if you choose to say. It is not linked to an account, and it is deleted after 12 months or on request.
- Optional: a weekly summary email, a read-only share link for a tutor, and a “tell me when subscriptions open” choice.
Who else handles data
- A service that sends account emails, such as verifying your address or resetting a password.
- A payment provider, but only if paid plans are ever switched on. No payments are taken now.
The full Privacy notice names them.
How long we keep it
- Your account and your child’s profile are kept until you delete the account, or are deleted automatically after 12 months without use, with a warning first.
- You can download your child’s answers, or ask for everything to be deleted, at any time.
The School planner
The School planner keeps your choices in your own browser. They are not sent to us.
These are summaries. The full Privacy notice, Terms, Cookie statement and Refund policy govern your use of the app, and they are linked in the footer of every page.
